Just a friendly reminder that online registration ends at noon today. If you are unable to make that deadline, or are just a procrastinator, there's still time! Download a registration form and bring it to the Event Expo Saturday. While we cannot guarantee you'll get a t-shirt, you can still participate in the Celebration of Life Triathlon and support a great cause!
With just one week to go, there's still time to join in the fun of the 18th annual Barbara Schmidt Millar Celebration of Life Triathlon! Online registration is open through noon Friday, Sept. 14. Or you can register at our Event Expo next Saturday, Sept. 15.
This is going to be a busy weekend at Cascade Shores! How's your training going?
The summer is flying by! The early registration deadline for this year's Barbara Schmidt Millar Celebration of Life Triathlon is coming up quickly. Those registered by the Aug. 17 deadline are guaranteed a t-shirt and the discounted registration fee of $45. After Friday, registration increases to $55. Athletes can go online to register at www.bsmtri.org.
As athletes transition their training up to Cascade Shores and gear up the workouts, please use caution. From miles of well-traveled roadways to a busy summertime lake, it's best to be mindful while riding, running or swimming. Thank you Heather for bringing our attention to an incident that occurred Friday, and for the tip to pay attention while training in the evening.
Now that August is here, training activity has picked up at Scotts Flat Lake. It's exciting to see women (and oftentimes their male supporters/training partners) swimming in the lake, riding Pasquale Rd and running the course. Nearly every morning now there are women up at the lake for a swim and/or ride. If you haven't gotten out there yet, never fear, there is still plenty of time.

Sports nutrition can get very complex and specific, but attention to the basics will take you far.
